What it is
Willingness & Acceptance is an ACT process of opening up to difficult internal experiences (feelings, sensations, thoughts) without struggling or trying to escape them.
Why it works
Experiential avoidance (trying to suppress anxiety, sadness, or physical discomfort) exacerbates distress. Willingness drops the tug-of-war rope so your energy can go toward meaningful living:
Willingness Shift
“I must eliminate this uncomfortable feeling before I can enjoy my day.”
Practicing with Camic
Camic guides you through willingness exercises, helping you notice physical sensations without trying to alter them.
Applied in real situations
